- Pyridoxine hydrochloride, the common supplement form.
- Helps enzymes break down protein and make neurotransmitters and red blood cells.
- Adults 19–50 need 1.3 mg a day; men over 50 need 1.7 mg. The upper limit is 100 mg.
- Printed as 88% DV; against the 1.7 mg Daily Value it works out to about 82%.
